Review of Remington F-4790 F4790 Pivot and Flex Titanium Foil Shaver

This 4790 model doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles and that's what I like about it. It's heavy, powerful, sharp, and sensitive to the curves of your face. More importantly, it doesn't rip the skin off your skull. This titanium model retails in big box stores two-thirds this price. Been using it for five months without a problem. Still sharp, too. Is washable, comes with a cord charger; the charge holds a consistent 20-hour charge, and it recharges fully in 40 minutes, or on quick charge in 5 minutes. I'll definitely buy another one for the value and performance.

I succumbed to the temptation yet again - save 15 bucks, get the knock off, it's all made in the same factory in China, I told myself. These Norelco replacement blades were half the price of "official" blades, so I bit. And found out they bite. They looked the same, they fit. I put them in, turned on the razor, and within 5 seconds they started rattling, a blade snared the guard and bent it. I tried shaving anyway, and it felt like a lawnmower, and left my beard as long as my lawn. I ended up throwing them away and buying a whole new Norelco razor!
